Gas Generator
Generators have motors that generate electromagnetic power which is then converted into electrical power. Generators can then take the electrical load of a house or building, or provide electricity to an area that is “off the grid” for whatever reason. But in order to make the motor work, there’s got to be some sort of fuel. There are basically two options for people who want to use generators. They can either choose a propane generator a gas generator. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages, but for a long time, the gas generator was the most popular because gas was cheap, easily accessible, and easy to store. Nobody thought twice about buying several gallons of the stuff for use in the generator.
Now, however, there is a very real problem with buying gas for use in a generator. In some cases, gas is four dollars a gallon. In other areas, gas is up over five dollars a gallon. At those prices, it doesn’t make sense to purchase a new gas generator. Your money would be better spent on the propane generator because propane is cheaper than gas, it’s lighter than gas, it’s easier to store, it’s odorless—except for a chemical introduced to help detect leaks—and it’s safer than gas. You can also store propane tanks in your garage or under your home. People are familiar with propane because many use propane canisters to fuel barbecues and some might even use it to heat water or heat the home.
