Mac Tools
The story of Mac Tools is a familiar one. It was founded in the early twentieth century in the heart of America, like so many other important tool and manufacturing businesses. It was originally called the Mechanics Tool and Forge Company, and it was incorporated in 1938. It’s reputation spread as it began to manufacture and sell what was the finest tools in the world—or at least that was the goal. It continued to grow during the second World War and enjoyed the booming years post-war. The name becomes a familiar one, and the company is a known, trusted quantity. Eventually, however, the owner or owners decide it is best to sell, and in 1980, Stanley Works bought it out. The name stayed on the brand because of brand loyalty, but it served the long lists of brands under the Stanley Works umbrella, including Stanley tools. Mac Tools are still widely available and trusted, and with Snap-On and Matco Tools, it is one of the most trusted names in automotive tools.
Mac Tools keeps up its fine reputation by promoting a set of values that they encourage all their employees and distributors to share. These values are values that they have kept and encouraged since the country was founded in the nineteen thirties, and these are the values that allow them to stay strong. Along with these values, they boast over eight thousand products, and a truly international presence. That makes Mac Tools one of the biggest, most important tool manufacturers in the world.
